  This place is great. Awesome food, especially their take on the local favorite chicken George (though they call it something different) and homemade Jan sauce. Salad bar is great, especially pea salad and pasta salad. Good soups also. Good take out options. Always fast and friendly service. Pies are worth the drive. Call ahead and have one made to take with you.

  Many people have told me "Dogwood Inn" has amazing chicken. Then these people don't know what fried chicken is.
  My fiance, future MIL and myself went in for dinner this evening. MIL and myself ordered fried chicken. And the fiance ordeted the tenders dinner. Dispite the tender and juiciness of the chicken, it was swimming in fry oil. Pools of fry oil under each piece of chicken. So much oil/grease, I couldn't finish eating a single piece. Now it feels like a rock in the pit of my stomach. The tenders dinner... oil pooled under each piece as well. So much so that the breading soaked it it up, and the breading fell right off. As for the "special" sauce...in the words of my fiance...tasteless and disgusting. Even the ranch dressing(from the salad bar) couldn't make these tenders taste any better."Finger slippin bad"
  The "great" salad bar. What a joke. No tomatoes. No cucumbers. No croutons. No onions...when I 1st approached the salad bar, there wasn't even salad mix on the bar. Nothing on the bar was on ice. Everything at room temp. So very disappointing.
  The only redeeming qualities is that the baked potato was perfect, and the soup was ok, at best.
  I have waitressed in my past. Dont have guests at a table, waiting, without even saying"I'll be right with you" Didn't even bring enough menus for all of us at the table. Even waited 5+ minutes for a refill on my coffee. From time in the restaurant to time we left...over an hour. Far to long for only having 3 tables.
  To say I won't be back, is an understatement. Dinner was so not worth the $35.00 spent. Don't waste your hard earned money. Its so not worth it. Wish I could get mine back.
  As for the pictures of the menu items on this page...alot of whats here, isn't on the menu. Chicken rotel pasta...not on menu, Monte Cristo sandwich...not on the menu, Ham Club sandwich...not on the menu.
